scope of work
this project aimed to enhance various facets of the health center, with our consultancy pivotal in orchestrating the enhancements.
we advised on car park resurfacing and marking, signage placement for safety, ramp and steps reformation for improved accessibility, full roof replacement including automated opening skylights, replacement of external windows and cladding, plus improved external lighting.
challenges faced
during the protect our team encountered several obstacles, notably working within the constraints of a bustling car park while ensuring continued access for patients and staff.
managing the removal of the external façade without disrupting operations posed another significant hurdle.
additionally, replacing the flat roof during winter months without compromising against water ingress demanded careful planning and execution.
outcome
our consultancy significantly improved the health centre, including accessibility within and around the site, especially during darker periods.
the project also led to a notable reduction in heat loss and solar gain, thereby enhancing energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.
crucially, these enhancements ensured the sustained functionality and viability of the facility, securing its pivotal role in serving the community's needs.
